Lecture with Cat Gambel

Cat Gambel is a visual artist and scholar from New Orleans, Louisiana. Her work centers around the swamp as a site of resistance and unbecoming, with a focus on queer futures and speculative worldmaking. In 2017, she received an M.A. in Art & Process from Crawford College of Art & Design in Cork, Ireland. From 2021-2023, she served as the director of The Art Gallery (TAG) at the University of West Florida. She is currently a PhD student at Duke University in the Department of Art, Art History, & Visual Studies.
